Zenless Zone Zero

Welcome to the city of New Eridu, the last real bastion of mankind following an apocalyptic event that covered the world in large pocket dimensions known as Hollows. Players take on the role of one of two siblings, Bell or Wise, who are together known as Phaethon, a legendary Proxy. Proxies are effectively guides in the Hollows, working together with various agents to explore, fight monsters, and investigate mysteries. It’s not exactly a legal occupation, which is why Phaethon also runs New Eridu’s greatest video store.

Neither of the Phaethon siblings enters the Hollows themselves. Instead, using a special computer setup, they possess a small sentient machine known as a bangboo to lead agents through. It is these agents that players will collect using the game’s gacha mechanic. Each agent belongs to a different faction – some legal, some not-so-much. Their faction alliances, elemental alignments, and roles can impact how each of the three-member teams players can build will work together. Players also roll for different bangboo via the game’s gacha mechanic. They are the fourth member of a team.

Gameplay consists of story missions as well as regular combat content required to obtain leveling materials and endgame battles built around the largest Hollow, Hollow Zero. Players can also expect more casual content, such as running the video store, restoring a temple, and going on hangouts with their agents. They can also adopt a cat.
